aboutus

SHEngineers was founded due to realisation that  women remain underrepresented in the engineering sector. The gender gap in the engineering sector may be attributed to a variety of reasons which include the following:

•    Lack of exposure to prospective careers in engineering
•    Limited number of experienced female role models and mentors working in engineering roles.

SHEngineers is established with a vision to make a difference in the sector by encouraging more women to pursue careers in engineering and to contribute to retention of women in engineering careers through facilitating a virtual supportive mentorship network.
